Bad Scales
A downloadable tool for Windows
Bad Scales plays backing tracks while suggesting relevant scale sequences presented as fretboard/keyboard patterns. The app supports a variety of stringed instruments by procedurally generating the fretboard image based on customizable tuning.
- Learn harmony and how to follow chords when improvising, writing a melody, a bassline, etc.
- Browse and create scales (and chords).
- Experiment with different tunings.
Refer to HowToCreateExercises.pdf for instructions on creating your own exercises.
